MEETINGS
We will hold our Annual Picnic in lieu of a regular general meeting on Thursday, July 15.  Details will be posted soon.
OTHER ACTIVITIES

 Junior Rockhound Program:     NO JUNIOR MEETINGS AT THIS TIME            

Junior Member Meetings are usually held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month except during summer months.  We have presentations and activities during our meetings. Sign-up is required.
Currently, classes are not being held because of the virus.

 Jewelry Arts Classes: 

We are presently conducting jewelry arts classes; however, the number of participants is limited. Please watch for emails and articles in our newsletter regarding upcoming class details. 

 Lapidary Workshop:     NO LAPIDARY WORKSHOPS AT THIS TIME            

Lapidary Workshops are usually held each Wednesday of the month, January thru November from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the County Senior Center, 937 Spring Street, Placerville. 
The Senior Center is closed at this time; therefore, Lapidary workshops are currently not available. We look forward to having workshops again soon.
 Field Trips:
Our members plan and lead field trips to locations in Northern California, Nevada, and, ocasionally, other areas. Material includes crystals, various minerals, and rocks. We sponsor day and weekend trips. Occasionally, the trips are longer, especially when traveling out of state. See our 2021 Field Trip Schedule

EL DORADO COUNTY FAIR
The 2021 County Fair is scheduled for September 23-26
Our society has hosted the Mining and Minerals Building at the annual El Dorado County Fair for many years. This includes hosting 30 cases of Rock, Mineral, Lapidary and Jewelry case displays.
During the Fair, you can also visit with our members and learn about rockhounding and jewelry-making.
Case display entry is open to the public
. This year's Rules for entering exhibits will be available soon.
The EDC Fairgrounds are located at 100 Placerville Drive, Placerville, California
ROCK, GEM & JEWELRY SHOW
The EDCM&GS 2021 Show is scheduled for October16 & 17
Our society hosts an annual show, which includes dealers who provide an outstanding variety of quality gems, minerals, jewelry, lapidary supplies, tools, and equipment. There are also displays and activties. The show is held at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds, 100 Placerville Drive, Placerville, California

 
EL DORADO COUNTY LIBRARY DISPLAY - September
We'll have exhibits on display during th
e month of September at the main El Dorado County Library in Placerville. Our members set up exhibits that include rocks, gems, handmade jewelry and field trips. We also provide educational handouts. It's always a pleasure to show the public what gem clubs like ours are all about.


Member participation is needed for all of these events.
