EL DORADO COUNTY FAIR

Fair Hosting Table
WE HOST THE MINING & MINERALS BUILDING AT THE ANNUAL EL DORADO COUNTY FAIR

The El Dorado Mineral and Gem Society's participation in the annual county fair includes displaying minerals, lapidary, jewelry work, and educational exhibits.

We
coordinate the exhibit setup and provide hosts and hostesses for the Mining & Minerals Displays in the Organ Room Building.

Members host an information table. They will be happy to answer questions about the displays and "What's in a grab bag."
Fluorescents on display
Displays include fluorescent rocks and minerals .
About Exhibits:
There are over 30
case displays including worldwide minerals, lapidary, handmade jewelry, self-collected specimens, fossils, fluourescents and artifacts.

We also exhibit photos and samples of rocks and minerals collected on our many field trips.

Membership in the club is not required in order to enter noncompetitive and competitive displays.

(See more about Entries below)
.
Visiting us at the Fair is a great opportunity to learn about our society and meet its members. Members will be happy to explain more about the hobby and activities that you can attend.

Both children and adults enjoy getting our grab bag
s from year to year.  Donations from the grab bags go toward our Education and Scholarship Programs.
