Fair Hosting Table
Members host an information table.

Our society hosts the Mining & Minerals Building at the El Dorado County Fair

The El Dorado Mineral and Gem Society's participation in the annual county fair includes displaying minerals, lapidary, jewelry work, and educational exhibits.

We
coordinate the exhibit setup and provide hosts and hostesses for the Mining & Minerals Displays in the Organ Room Building.

Get grab bags, free information, and learn what our society offfers for all ages at our Hosting Table..
Fluorescents on display
There's a display of Fluorescent rocks and minerals .
There are over 30 case displays including worldwide minerals, lapidary, handmade jewelry, self-collected specimens, fossils, fluourescents and artifacts. We also exhibit photos and samples of rocks and minerals collected on our many field trips.

Mining maps, photos, mineral posters and
other educational material are all part of the display.

Membership in the club is not required in order to enter noncompetitive and competitive displays.

There's a link to the entry rules below.

Visiting us at the Fair is a great opportunity to learn about our society and meet its members. We are happy to explain more about the hobby and activities that you can attend.  Both children and adults enjoy getting our grab bags from year to year.  Donations from the grab bags go toward our Education and Scholarship Programs.
