While the Mother Lode Lions Hall is undergoing reconstruction, our monthly General Membership Meetings will be held on the 3rd Thursday of the month instead of Tuesday.  Regular meetings begin at 7:00 pm.

Our temporary meeting location is the American Legion Hall, El Dorado Post 119, which is located at 4561 Greenstone Road (between Highway 50 and Mother Lode Drive).     Map to American Legion Hall

Upcoming General Meeting & Presentation:
Tues,  July 15, set up  begins at 6:00 pm Annual Potluck Picnic will be held at the EDC Fairgrounds, Apple Tree Picnic Area next to Marshall Building.
Agenda: Food,  Fun and Camaraderie! 
Thur, Aug 21, 7:00 pm, American Legion Hall Presentation to be announced.

Junior Rockhound Program: Top of page
Junior Rockhound meetings are usually held on the 2nd Thursday; however, in July our junior members and families are invited to attend our July Picnic on Tuesday, July 15, at the Fairgrounds.  We will take the summer month of August off and resume regular Junior Meetings in September. Please let us know if you wish to attend our meetings so that we have enough activity supplies and refreshments on hand.

Lapidary & Jewelry Arts: Top of page
Regular Lapidary Workshops are usually held at the Senior Center, 937 Spring St,  6:30 - 9:00 PM, on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month and fifth Tuesday* when announced. Regular Lapidary Machine Work is open to everyone who has passed Lapidary Certification.
Jewelry Arts Classes are usually held at our the Wheeldon Center, 6:30 - 9:00 PM; however, some are held at other locations. Sign up is required for classes unless otherwise noted. More about Lapidary & Jewelry Arts

*On October 30, 2013, the society named this facility
"The Wheeldon Center" in recognition of George Wheeldon's
influence and continued education of earth sciences that he
provides to both the society members and the community.
