Our regular monthly General Membership Meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of the month, starting at 7:00 p.m., at:      American Legion Hall, El Dorado Post 119
         4561 Greenstone Rd,  Placerville, California

Located about 2.5 miles west of the town of El Dorado between Mother Lode Drive and Highway 50, Exit 41.   See Map

General Meetings & Presentations:

The presentation at our September meeting was made by Gene Hunderlach about the unique Petrified Wood found in the Roseville, CA, area. We also celebrated "Pie Night!"

Our next general meeting will be held on Thursday,  October 19, starting at 7:00 p.m., at the American Legion Hall, 4561 Greenstone Rd,  Placerville, California. 
The presentation for the upcoming meeting will be announced in early October. 

Guests are always welcome to attend our general meetings!

Junior Member Meetings are usually held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month except during summer months, from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at the Senior Center, 937 Spring Street, Placerville.  Sign-up is required.

 Lapidary Arts:

Lapidary Workshops are held on the each Wednesday of the month,  January thru November from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Senior Center, 937 Spring Street. Advance sign-up is required and a minimum number must be reached for each workshop.

 Jewelry Arts:

Jewelry Arts Classes are generally scheduled on the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays, 6:30 - 9:00 p.m. at the Senior Center, 937 Spring Street.
We were able to complete our prong wrap project on 8/18, so we will do  suncatchers/windchimes on 8/27.  Email has been sent to members with details.

We look forward to seeing you at our 2019 Rock & Gem Show at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds, 100 Placerville Drive, Placerville, California. Our show includes minerals, jewelry, findings, fossils, petrified wood, gold, meteorites, amber, opal, rough & finished material, slabs, lapidary supplies, tools, equipment, books, kits, and unique gifts. Free rocks & activities for kids.

Our members provide Rock and Mineral educational displays at the  Placerville Library each year during the month of August. The library is located at 345 Fair Lane, Placerville

We host the Mining and Minerals Building at the El Dorado County Fair each June. This is a great time for the whole family to see over 30 Minerals Displays in the Mining & Minerals Building. MINERALS BUILDING. You can enjoy the displays and learn what our society is all about by visiting with our members.  We hope to see you there next year (Mid-June 2020).
