Our monthly General Membership Meetings are now held on the 3rd Thursday of the month General Membership meetings begin at 7:00 pm.
We meet at the American Legion Hall, El Dorado Post 119, located at 4561 Greenstone Road (between Highway 50 and Mother Lode Drive), near El Dorado.   Map to American Legion Hall

Upcoming General Meetings & Presentations:
Thur, Nov 20, 7:00 pm, American Legion Hall Presentation to be by our members about, "What We Did On Our Summer Vacations."

We'll also have our annual Suiseki Contest and Photo Contest too!
Thur, Dec 18, 7:00 pm, American Legion Hall Annual Dinner and Installation of 2015 Board of Directors.

Junior Rockhound Program: Top of page
Junior Rockhound meetings are usually held on the 2nd Thursday. The next Junior meeting will be on November 13, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.
Please let us know if you wish to attend our meetings so that we have enough activity supplies and refreshments on hand.

Lapidary & Jewelry Arts: Top of page
Regular Lapidary Workshops are held at the Senior Center, 937 Spring St. They have been held on the 2nd & 4th (& 5th)Tuesdays, 6:30 - 9:00 PM.

Beginning in November 2014, Lapidary Workshops will be held on the 2nd & 4th Wednesdays,
 Also on the fifth Wednesday when it occurs. Regular Lapidary Machine Work is open to everyone who has passed Lapidary Certification.  (Lapidary will not be held on 11/26, 12/24 or 12/31 because of the holidays)

Jewelry Arts Classes are usually held at our the Wheeldon Center, 6:30 - 9:00 PM; however, some are held at other locations. Sign up is required for classes unless otherwise noted. Classes will continue to be held on the 2nd & 4th Tusday unless otherwise announced. More about Lapidary & Jewelry Arts

*On October 30, 2013, the society named this facility
"The Wheeldon Center" in recognition of George Wheeldon's
influence and continued education of earth sciences that he
provides to both the society members and the community.
