Our regular monthly General Membership Meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of the month, starting at 7:00 p.m., at:      American Legion Hall, El Dorado Post 119
         4561 Greenstone Rd,  Placerville, California

Located about 2.5 miles west of the town of El Dorado between Mother Lode Drive and Highway 50, Exit 41.   See Map

General Meetings & Presentations:

Our next general meeting will be held on Thursday,  Septebmer 19, starting at 7:00 p.m., at the American Legion Hall, 4561 Greenstone Rd,  Placerville, California. 
 
The presentation will be made by Gene Hunderlach about Petrified Wood found in Roseville, CA, area.

We will also celebrate "Pie Night!"
Bring a pie to share during our break time. Society will supply the ice cream!

ALSO IT'S TIME TO SIGN UP FOR SHOW ACTIVITIES.  Show Committee chairs will be available to answer questions.

Junior Member Meetings are usually held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month except during summer months, from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at the Senior Center, 937 Spring Street, Placerville.  Sign-up is required.

 Lapidary Arts:

Lapidary Workshops are held on the each Wednesday of the month,  January thru November from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Senior Center, 937 Spring Street. Advance sign-up is required and a minimum number must be reached for each workshop.

 Jewelry Arts:

Jewelry Arts Classes are generally scheduled on the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays, 6:30 - 9:00 p.m. at the Senior Center, 937 Spring Street.
We were able to complete our prong wrap project on 8/18, so we will do  suncatchers/windchimes on 8/27.  Email has been sent to members with details.

COUNTY LIBRARY DISPLAY.
Our members will  provide a Rock and Mineral display at the Placerville Library during the month of August. The library is located at 345 Fair Lane, Placerville

EL DORADO COUNTY FAIR
We host the Mining and Minerals Building at the El Dorado County Fair each June.
This is a great time for the whole family to see over 30 Minerals Displays IN THE MINING & MINERALS BUILDING. YOU CAN ALSO learn what our society is all about BY TALKING WITH OUR MEMBERS.
